Amanda's Book Collection

Amanda, Ashleigh’s younger sister, has been organizing literacy outreach programs since she was six years old! ABC’s provide books and reading services for various programs: the Literacy Outreach Program at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Milford-Whitinsville Hospital Pediatrics, nursing homes, shelters, and low income families. Amanda’s efforts have resulted in over 20,000 books being distributed to those in need.

Amanda was the 2004 Prudential Spirit of Community Massachusetts State and National Honoree 2004 and recognized by Governor Romney and State Representative George Peterson for her work. In 2004, she was recognized by Kohl’s “Kids Who Care” Program.
